PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections trigger natural hair growth, increase blood supply to the hair follicle and increase the thickness of the hair shaft. Treatment is typically three sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart, with maintenance every 4 to 6 months. Inhaled nitrous anesthesia (Pro-Nox) is available for comfort.
